Job Details
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Floor/General Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who is forklift-certified, reliable, and ready to take charge of inventory, staff supervision, and overall warehouse efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Manage the receiving, storage, and organization of goods.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular checks and optimal stock levels.
- Maximize warehouse space utilization while maintaining order and accessibility.
Staff Supervision:
- Lead, motivate, and monitor a team of warehouse workers.
- Assign tasks, address employee concerns, and ensure peak team performance.
Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement streamlined processes to boost productivity and accuracy.
- Meet shipping deadlines and minimize operational errors.
Order Fulfillment:
- Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
- Manage shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Quality Control:
- Conduct quality checks on products to maintain high standards.
- Identify and address any product or operational issues proactively.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Cost Management:
- Monitor warehouse expenses and oversee employee time management.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain regular communication with line leads, shipping/receiving managers, and office personnel to ensure seamless operations.
Technology Utilization:
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to optimize processes and track performance.
