Job Details
Our client is seeking an experienced Shipping & Warehouse Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of inbound and outbound shipping operations at their Fayetteville facility. This role is integral to managing daily warehouse activities, including personnel supervision, inventory control, and maintaining budgetary goals. The Shipping & Warehouse Manager will ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures, food safety guidelines, and third-party audit requirements while driving efficiency and excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage budgetary guidelines for the shipping and warehouse departments to meet established financial objectives.
- Lead regular performance evaluation meetings with cross-functional departments, including Commodity Management and Client Services, to streamline inbound and outbound orders.
- Mentor and set performance standards for personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate scheduling, training, and cross-training for all warehouse and shipping staff.
- Oversee daily operations such as product staging, shipment coordination, and fulfillment, while maintaining accurate inventory records through systems like Famous and RIMS.
- Collaborate with Quality Control and Food Safety teams to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external audits.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Occupational Safety Procedures, USDA, and DOL standards.
- Supervise forklift operators, dock workers, and office personnel to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Maintain the facility’s cleanliness and orderliness, including surrounding grounds.
- Prepare and review essential documentation, such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), receiving tickets, and driver check-in/out logs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, safety certifications, and warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience leading diverse teams.
- Knowledge of DOT, state, and federal regulations.
- Familiarity with transportation software systems; knowledge of Famous and RIMS systems is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient operations.
