Job Details
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in North Little Rock, AR. This position is responsible for overseeing a variety of human resources functions, including administrative tasks, recruiting and onboarding, workers’ compensation, safety team planning, and benefits administration. The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth HR operations while maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate and communicate company personnel policies and procedures to new and existing employees.
- Resolve employee issues quickly and effectively, fostering a positive work environment.
- Assist with onboarding processes, including employee handbook review, employment document completion, and benefits enrollment.
- Maintain complete and confidential personnel files for all employees.
- Process, verify, and maintain documentation related to recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and more.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, claims resolution, plan inquiries, and open enrollment.
- Recommend new approaches and procedures to improve HR efficiency and services.
- Review and process employment applications to evaluate applicant qualifications and eligibility.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including addresses, earnings, performance reports, and reasons for employment changes.
- Answer employee questions regarding salaries, benefits, and other HR-related information.
- Support the safety team and workers’ compensation processes.
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Training:
- Required: Associate’s degree in a relevant field (experience may substitute for degree).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Required:
- 1-3 years of experience in a related HR role.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Preferred:
- 2-4 years of HR experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
