We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our client’s warehouse team in Little Rock, AR. As a Forklift Operator, you will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials within the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks and staging items for streamlined operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are experienced in operating sit-down forklifts and are looking to contribute to a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely Operate a Sit-Down Forklift: Efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and placement of items.
- Material Staging: Organize and stage materials in designated areas, making them readily accessible for team members and aiding in effective inventory management.
- Equipment Inspections: Perform regular inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working order and promptly report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
- Workplace Organization: Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, contributing to an efficient and safe workspace.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborative Operations: Work closely with team members to achieve daily operational targets and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a sit-down Forklift Operator is preferred, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Certification: A valid forklift operator certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification may also be considered.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail to ensure accurate handling and staging of materials.
- Physical Ability: Must be in good physical condition and able to lift heavy items as required for the role.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills with a cooperative mindset, ensuring effective collaboration with colleagues.
